What you’ll need: a soft tape measure, a mirror (or a helper), and 2 minutes.

How to measure: bust/chest, waist, hips, and inside leg. Keep the tape snug, not tight.

Between sizes? For growing room, size up. For a stage-ready fit, choose the closer measurement.

Sizing FAQs

Quick answers to the questions parents ask most—so you can order the right size the first time.

How do I choose a size if my child is between sizes?

If measurements sit across two sizes, choose the size that matches the largest measurement. For leotards and fitted tops, a little extra length is usually more comfortable.

Do your styles fit true to size?

Most items fit true to our size ranges. If a product runs small/large, we’ll note it on the product page under Fit notes.

What if my child is tall for their age?

Prioritise girth/torso length for leotards and unitards. If they’re tall, sizing up often improves comfort without looking baggy.

Should tights and socks be sized up?

For tights, if you’re between sizes, sizing up can prevent digging-in at the waist and gives a smoother line. For socks, choose the size that matches shoe size.

How should shoes fit?

Shoes should feel secure with minimal slipping at the heel. Ballet slippers typically fit snug; tap shoes need a little toe room. Check each product page for any style-specific guidance.

Can I exchange if the size isn’t right?

Yes—see our Delivery & Returns page for exchange/return steps and eligibility.
